Jacqueline Samuda as Nirrti in Stargate SG-1
An ancient Hindu goddess of darkness Nirrti is believed to be responsible
for wiping out all but one of the inhabitants of P8X-987, plus four members
of the SGC ("Singularity"). She implanted a naquaada bomb within the lone
survivor, a young girl named Cassandra, in an attempt to blow up Earth's Stargate.
Nirrti's first appearance is in "Fair Game" (Season 3 Episode 3) in which
the Goa'uld System Lords come to the SGC facility to negotiate a peace treaty
with Earth (mediated by the Asgard). Nirrti attempts to kill Cronus and Teal'c,
blaming the latter for the death of the former. Like Hathor, Nirrti has developed
stealth technology, allowing her to become invisible.
Nirrti's second appearance is in "Rite of Passage" (Season 5 Episode 7)
in which Cassandra's health begins to deteriorate, so the team must travel
back to her home planet to find a cure.
Nirrti's third appearance is in "Metamorphosis" (Season 6 Episode 16) in
which SG-1 must again stop Nirrti from experimenting on humans off-world and
creating an advanced host.
